VO: Make sure you read these instructions and talk with your doctor before taking any starter pills from the bottles that you receive with your Welcome Pack.

VO: There is one bottle of VOCABRIA tablets, and one bottle of EDURANT tablets. These are the two medicines used in CABENUVA.
SUPER: One pill from each bottle once a day, with a meal, for about a month
VO: You’ll take one pill from each bottle, once a day, with a meal, for about a month before you begin your monthly injections. This is so you and your doctor can see how your body responds to the two medicines in CABENUVA.

VO: During your treatment appointment, a trained healthcare professional gives you two injections, one in each side of your buttocks.
SUPER: Cabotegravir
SUPER: Rilpivirine
SUPER: Results may vary.
VO: Each injection contains one of the two medicines in CABENUVA. These medicines work to keep you undetectable.
SUPER: 10 minutes
SUPER: In clinical studies, injection-site reactions were common. Most were mild to moderate. Results may vary.
VO: Following your injections, you may be asked to wait 10 minutes. After that, you should be able to resume your daily activities, but always check with your doctor.
SUPER: Target Treatment Date
VO: Remember, the day you chose for your first injection will become your ongoing Target Treatment Date. So, be sure to choose a day that works for you. It’s important that CABENUVA be given around the same date each month.

VO: If you can’t make your regular appointment, you have a Flexible Treatment Window, from 7 days before to 7 days after your Target Treatment Date.

Antes de comenzar con tus inyecciones de CABENUVA, tú y tu médico prepararán tu plan de tratamiento y programarán tu primera cita.
Tú y tu médico elegirán un Día de Tratamiento Planeado para tus citas periódicas.
Elige un día que funcione de forma periódica porque es importante que mantengas tus citas alrededor de ese día.
Tu médico podría recetarte alrededor de un mes de pastillas de inicio diarias antes de tus primeras inyecciones para ver si tu cuerpo reacciona de manera adversa a las 2 medicinas en CABENUVA.

Qué esperar el día de tu tratamiento con CABENUVA
Tomarás la última dosis de tus pastillas diarias el mismo día en el que recibirás tu primer tratamiento inyectable de CABENUVA.

Durante tu cita, un profesional de la salud capacitado te administrará 2 inyecciones, 1 en cada glúteo. Cada inyección contiene 1 de las 2 medicinas en CABENUVA.
Tu nueva rutina
Recibirás tus inyecciones de CABENUVA el Día de Tratamiento Planeado o alrededor de ese día, según tu plan de tratamiento.
Tu primera y segunda cita para recibir la inyección serán con un mes de diferencia. Después de eso, comenzarás tu tratamiento una vez al mes o cada dos meses.
Para ayudar a mantenerte indetectable, es importante que cumplas con todas las citas programadas. Si no puedes ir a tu cita el Día de Tratamiento Planeado, asegúrate de llamar a tu médico inmediatamente.
